In March, Josefina enjoyed a visit to the historic city of Florence. She was awed by all the beautiful architecture in Centro Storico, or the Historic Center of the city. She personally thought her birthday outfit was right at home!

After a breakfast of a cornet pastry filled with cream from the patisserie Dolci & Dolcezze, she made her way over to the Giardino Bardini.
The views from the higher levels of the gardens were spectacular. Josefina also was able to enjoy the camellia garden and the beginning of the wisteria blooming.
After the long trek through the gardens, she spent time relaxing by the Arno River, enjoying a pizza from Gustapizza with great views of Ponte Vecchio.
The next morning, Josefina ventured beyond the historic center of Florence and visited the Piazzale Michaelangelo. There were some particularly stunning views of the city from up here! Josefina’s gown in these pictures was custom made by ThreadsofSilk on Etsy. It is based off of a silk gown from the 1820s in the collection of the Palais Galliera in Paris.
